Window replacement in Northwest Indiana
Single-pane, fogged, painted-shut or rotten-framed windows replaced and trimmed out. A window is only as good as the flashing and the trim around it.
What the job includes
- Measure every opening individually — old houses are never square
- Remove old units without wrecking the surrounding plaster or siding
- Repair rotten sills, jambs and framing found in the opening
- Set, shim, level and fasten to the manufacturer instructions
- Flash, seal and insulate the perimeter so it does not leak air or water
- Interior casing and exterior trim finished, not just foamed and left
Signs you need this
- Condensation or haze sealed between the panes
- Draughts you can feel from a closed window in January
- Sashes painted shut, or that will not stay open
- Soft wood at the sill or the bottom of the jamb
How the work runs
You describe the job
Address, what needs doing, and when you would like it. No phone tag to get a person to come and look, and no account to create first — that happens when you submit.
You get a written quote
An itemised document, not a number over the phone. You read it, and you sign it online if you want it. Nothing starts before that signature.
You watch it happen
Each stage of the work is marked off and photographed by the crew as they go. You can see where the job actually is without asking anybody.
You keep the record
Materials, warranties, permits, photographs and cost stay attached to your property permanently — so the next owner, or your insurer, can see exactly what was done.
We work with a vetted network of licensed, insured contractors across Northwest Indiana.
Common questions
Do I need full-frame replacement or an insert?
An insert fits inside your existing frame and is faster and cheaper, but it only works if that frame is sound and square. Full-frame replacement takes it back to the rough opening and is the right answer when the sill or jamb has rot, or when you want the original opening size back. We check the frame before quoting either.
How disruptive is it, and can I stay in the house?
Yes, you can stay. We work opening by opening and close each one the same day it is opened, so you never sleep with a hole in the wall. Expect noise, some dust at the interior trim, and each room briefly unavailable.
Will new windows actually lower my heating bill?
They will reduce draughts and cold-glass discomfort noticeably. The bill impact is real but slower than most sales pitches suggest, and in a Northwest Indiana house with attic-insulation gaps the attic is usually the cheaper first fix. We would rather tell you that than sell you the wrong thing first.
