Roof repair in Northwest Indiana
Missing shingles, failed flashing, ice-dam damage and valleys that never drained right. Most roofs that get replaced needed a repair and a diagnosis.
What the job includes
- Walk the roof and the attic — most sources are visible from underneath
- Replace damaged, lifted or missing shingles
- Re-flash chimneys, vents, sidewalls and skylights
- Rebuild valleys and ridge where the failure is structural, not surface
- Address ice-dam damage at the eave, not just the stain inside
- Photograph the failure and the repair, because you cannot see either
Signs you need this
- A stain on an upstairs ceiling that grows after a thaw
- Shingle granules collecting in the gutters
- Shingles lifted, curled or gone after a windstorm
- Daylight or damp sheathing visible in the attic
How the work runs
You describe the job
Address, what needs doing, and when you would like it. No phone tag to get a person to come and look, and no account to create first — that happens when you submit.
You get a written quote
An itemised document, not a number over the phone. You read it, and you sign it online if you want it. Nothing starts before that signature.
You watch it happen
Each stage of the work is marked off and photographed by the crew as they go. You can see where the job actually is without asking anybody.
You keep the record
Materials, warranties, permits, photographs and cost stay attached to your property permanently — so the next owner, or your insurer, can see exactly what was done.
We work with a vetted network of licensed, insured contractors across Northwest Indiana.
Common questions
Do I need a repair or a whole new roof?
It depends on the age of the covering and whether the failure is isolated. A twelve-year-old roof with storm damage in one plane is a repair. A twenty-five-year-old roof with granule loss across every slope is a replacement, and patching it is money spent twice. We will tell you which one you have and show you the photos behind that answer.
What causes ice dams on Northwest Indiana houses?
Heat escaping into the attic melts snow on the upper roof, the water runs down and refreezes at the cold eave, and the resulting ridge of ice pushes water back up under the shingles. It is an insulation and ventilation problem that presents as a roof problem, which is why fixing only the shingles does not stop it happening again.
Can you work with my insurance claim?
We can document the damage properly — dated photographs, the affected planes, and what the repair involves — which is what an adjuster needs. We do not negotiate the claim for you or advise on coverage; that is between you and your carrier.
Will you go on a roof in winter?
For emergency stabilisation and diagnosis, yes. For shingle work, cold makes asphalt brittle and sealant strips will not bond until they warm, so a permanent repair often waits for a mild stretch. We will make it safe now and finish it right later rather than pretend those are the same visit.
